Richard, these and the polar bear images are truly magnificent!
As you may know, my dad and I went to the Arctic in 2009... to the Canadian Arctic and Greenland... magnificent! i had one polar bear sighting close up - but unfortunately my dad wasn't on the zodiac at the time! We had a distant sighting as well... apparently we'll have to go back ;-)
What you may not know is my husband Joe and I, before we were married, took a cruise up the coast of Norway and spent 3 days around Svalbard... equally breathtaking, and an amazing Polar Bear sighting at 3am... awesome how quick you can hop out of your cabin when the call comes over the intercom!
Your photos are inspiring me to dig mine out and relive the experiences.
